Spring Break 2014

With no plans for Spring Break, I decided to pack up the kids and head south to my parents' house.  Thankfully, my mom agreed to meet me half way so I could take a break in the 6 hour drive.  On the drive, we passed a sight that was amazing - who knew there are Bald Eagles in the middle of Texas!?!?

I know - you can't really see them, but that giant mass in the tree is their nest and there are 2 eagles sitting just outside of it.

Bryan wouldn't get out of the car to look at them, he said he was scared because they were so big!

We made it to the ranch late, on Saturday afternoon and the kids were wiped-put from the drive.  Sunday, morning, though, they were off and running from the moment they woke up!!

When the little ones went down for a nap, Mom, Bryan, and I went to town to get boots for the girls and to have lunch.  Bryan loves chips and cheese!!

Once they woke up, Bryan gave the girls their boots, and they did not take them off for the rest of the day.

A little game of Hide 'n' Seek in the cabinets...

This pretty much sums up the day on Sunday...

Monday, Mom decided she wanted to brave Sea World with the 4 crazies!  Thankfully, it was pretty overcast, so not very crowded.  The only thing that made it difficult was not being able to take strollers into the shows.  So, Bryan and I went to the Sea Lion and Walrus show while Mom and the little ones ate lunch.  Other than that, we were good to go looking at fish, sharks, penguins, and dolphins.  We missed out on Shamu because there was only one show at 2:30 in the afternoon, and we were long gone by then!!

Savannah wanted to wear
her boots!

This is how we found
William in the morning...
There are no words!

Waiting for the walrus!

He wouldn't look away!

She loved the
aquarium!

Checking out the sharks

Penguins!
Before we were out of the parking lot!

After a nap in the car, they were off again...

William was not so sure,
but Bryan Kept telling him,
"It's OK, Bubba's here!"

5 minutes later!!
 Play time!!

Tuesday, Mom was gone all day, so Dad and I hung around the ranch and let the kids PLAY, PLAY, PLAY outside - so much fun!!

William kept "counting" all of the people in the picture.

Outside...

Just hanging out

She loves Miss Maggie!

Always up to something...

Dad and I thought it would be easy to
get a picture of all 4 if we put them on the mule..

Almost smiling!

She would have ridden
all day!!

He tolerated it!

The other 2 wouldn't get on the 4-wheeler!  After about 2 hours outside in the morning, it was time for lunch and naps.  Then, they were back up and outside again.  Papa took us all on a ride on the mule.  Shockingly, the kiddos lasted about an hour riding around and looking at the animals.

I kept trying to hold on
to her, but she pushed me away!
Checking out Tinsel...

Going to feed the cats...

After exploring, we went back to playing in the yard...

Of course my kids are the first to actually get into the water!!  Once it started, there was no stopping them!!

Savannah got one last snuggle in with her Papa before we left...

It was a fantastic visit and completely exhausting!!  We headed home on Wednesday, here is a look at how much the trip wiped-out Bryan...
