December 2012

First things first, the triplets are 7 months old...

Ruby Elizabeth - Such a happy baby -
I love to hear her laugh at Bryan!!

William Lee - I had to choose this one because
he rarely has this look on his
face!!  He is always smiling and laughing!

Savannah Grace - My nosy curious
little girl. She wants to be in the
middle of everything!

This month has probably been the most hectic and most stressful one so far!!  We ended November with the beginnings of the kiddos getting sick and continued into December...  I think the order of germs was Ruby, William, Bryan, me, and then Savannah.  Thank goodness for my mom and mother-in-law.  We didn't want to get Laura or Skylar sick before their big trip, so Rhonda took a day off to help me get the triplets to the doctor, then mom came up a week early to stay with them all during the day so Trey and I didn't have to take off work.  The second week mom was here, my Aunt Mary came to stay and help her out - all the way from Memphis!!  We are so blessed with great family!!  To say Bryan was in hog heaven would be an understatement... He LOVED having Auntie M to play with at the park, in the backyard, anywhere he wanted to go!!  She was greatly missed when she left!!

Illness continued through the month, and Trey's family jumped in to help us out again!  His grandmother, Shirley, came one day to keep the kids, and his mother the next.  We are so lucky to have so much family to help us!  That brings us to December 22.... I was officially off for 2 weeks, everyone seemed to be well and we went to Rowlett for Trey's extended family Christmas.  It is always such a great time to visit with everyone and catch up.  Here are a few pictures from that day:

I love this face!!!  Can't get enough!!

 and William just relaxing!

The next day, Rhonda and Ray came by to deliver the swing set.  Ray helped Trey get started on building it.  They got quite a bit done!  Trey continued to work well into the night and got it finished so that Bryan could see it on Christmas morning.  That same day, Trey started running a fever - the flu we think.  The streak of illness continues!!

My parents came in on the afternoon of Christmas Eve.  Trey went to work that day - yes still sick - so I was in charge of getting things ready.  We were going to his mom's house that night, but Trey made the call to stay home sick.  My parents and I loaded up the kiddos and headed to Combine.  I am so blessed with amazing in-laws that jumped right in to help with the kids and welcome my parents to their Christmas celebration.  I didn't see much of Bryan the entire time we were there - he was running around like a mad man with his cousins and loving every minute!!  We didn't get to stay as long as I would have liked, but I wanted to get home and check on Trey, and the kids needed to go to sleep because Santa had a lot to do!!

Big pic (then clockwise!) - The big cousins; Bryan was
more interested in the bow; Elf Luke;
Leslie, Savannah and William;
Our Gift Ruby; Luke wanted to hold
Savannah and she LOVED it!!
Luke got the Madagascar DVD - the boys
had so much fun with the wig!

All of the cousins in their jammies:
Skylar, William, Bryan, Savannah, Jake, Ruby, and Luke
We went home to check on Trey, gave him some medicine that he had gotten, and made him go back to sleep.  Then, Santa went to work!!  Thank goodness for my parents' help!!

Santa's Work

Christmas Eve, there was a very loud storm that woke Bryan up.  I ended up having to go sleep in his bed.  He finally agreed to let me leave when he heard the babies crying.  I got up, got them taken care of, got breakfast made, and then we waited - he had gone back to sleep!

Savannah is a little annoyed that she has to
wait for big brother!
Ruby was just happily bouncing away!

William got to hang out with Papa, so he was in heaven!

Best.  Gift.  EVER! Up the hill, down the
hill ALL day!

He also loved the babies' music table - he loved
watching the balls spin into the hole.

Stocking Time - MORE TOYS!

Papa helped Ruby, she lost interest
after the first toy

William learning to read!
They all got sunglasses in their
stockings...

We had to wrap the window so he couldn't see the present
from Nana, Noni, Papa and PaPa
"OH MY GOONESS!!!"
Sadly it was raining, then snowing, so he couldn't
play on it!!  He just kept telling me,
"It warm and dry, Mommy!"

He finally got 5 minutes outside the day
after Christmas!

Our greatest gifts this year!!

Crawlers get themselves into the strangest places!

The girls just kept playing...

William conked out first!
We missed having Trey with us, but he finally got better.  Sadly, on Wednesday, Savannah started running a fever, thankfully it was only 24 hours!  But my mom decided to stay and help with her - then she got it!!  Everyone is better now, and we are ringing in the New Year happy and healthy!!

This year has been nothing short of crazy, insane, overwhelming, and pure blessings!!  I hope that everyone has a blessed 2013...  All I have left to say about 2012 is:

My cup runneth over!!

November...

November was an eventful month...

Yes, that's right sprinklers and diapers in November...
It's Texas, that's all I can say!!
The triplets hit six months on November 4th, it seems like it has been six days sometimes - and six years others!!  Bryan is the best big brother.  He loves to make the babies smile and has to constantly know what they are doing.  So far, he is doing great at sharing, but they are just starting to notice his toys, so we will see!!

Ruby la Luby is our big time talker.  She chatters away to anyone
or anything that she thinks is listening.  She loves to smile
and it is definitely contagious!!
Will-man is the instigator.  He steals pacis, pokes his sisters, and
wants to be in the middle of all of the action.  His a big smiler, too.
I'm pretty sure his smile is going to get him off the hook a lot in the
future - especially with me!!

Savannah is very serious.  She is an observer, an explorer, an all-around
mover and shaker.  She was the first to truly crawl, straight to Bryan's
toys!!  She knows what she wants and she goes after it.  Her smiles still
aren't as forthcoming as the other two, but they are certainly just as contagious!

6 months - I can hardly believe it!!
This is closer to the truth!!

My 4 greatest accomplishments in life!!
I couldn't have gotten any luckier than to be their mommy!!
Fast forward a couple of weeks and the holiday madness began.  Thanksgiving number 1 out in Combine.  We spent a great morning at Granny's house catching up with family and watching the kids play.  I can't wait until the triplets are running around with them - and the triplet boys (yes, that's right Trey's cousin and his wife also had triplets this year!!) can join in the fun.

Drummin' - the best part is that they hit their "drum sticks" together
first and count 1, 2, 3, 4...  Then, they bang on their drums.

Playing hide 'n' seek with Aunt Laura and Noni

Playing on the storm shelter - Jake is such a great "Big Cousin"
to Bryan and Skylar

What makes a better slide than a storm shelter door?
After Granny's, we loaded up the van and headed to Rowlett.  Thanksgiving number 2 at Aunt Debbie and Uncle Chris' house.  So great to catch up with more family.  It was especially good to get pictures of the kids with their GREAT GREAT grandmother.

Grandmom and Grandad with their great grands - Jake, Bryan,
Luke, Ruby, Savannah, William, and Skylar

Great Great Grandmother Webb with some of her grandchildren
(Ray, Jan, and Chris) and her great great grandchildren (Ruby,
Savannah, William, Bryan, Skylar, Luke, and Jake)

Then, I had to work for 2 days before we were off to the Hill Country.  We spent 5 days at my parent's ranch with Katie, Joel, and Cerah, my grandmother and several of my mom's brothers and sisters and their families.  It was so much fun to see everyone - we only see them once every couple of years.  Thanksgiving has become the most likely time for us to all get together and spend time catching up.  We missed my Aunt Laura and Aunt Nancy and their families, hopefully we will see them soon!

This is what Bryan was doing while I packed.... I don't ask questions anymore!!
I just go with it!

So thankful for my munchkins!!
Savannah, William, Bryan, and Ruby

We have been trying to figure out who William looks like...
Uncle Dabo got the most votes!!

They were inseparable!!

One big basket!!
When we got home, the crud followed!!  It started with Ruby then moved to William.  We ended up having to give both breathing treatments for several days.  Thankfully, my mom was able to come up to help out so Trey and I could still go to work without having Laura come over - we didn't want her or Skylar getting sick before they went on their big trip!  Not long after Ruby and William were on the upswing, Bryan caught it.  We thought we were out of the woods and then Savannah and I started the cough and runny nose.  After two and a half weeks, though, I think we are finally over the roughest part and getting better just in time for Christmas!!  I can't wait!!

Just the highlights...

I am severely behind on my blog updates!!  I figure I will post pictures of the highlights of what we have been up to for the last 2 months...  (It will probably take 2 posts!)

October...

The triplets turned 5 months old on October 4th....  They are growing like weeds!!

Will Man
Bryan also made his very first trip to the State Fair.  Unfortunately we went the day AFTER Big Tex burned, so he didn't get to see the giant cowboy.  But he did get to have his first Fletcher's Corny Dog.... A very special moment for Trey.

This was as close to seeing Big Tex as we got!

Bryan loved feeding the camels, but wasn't so sure about the kisses

Our Little Piggie

Feeding the Donkeys

This was, hands down, his favorite part of the day.  If anyone asked
about the fair, the first thing out of his mouth was, "Bryan pet zebba"

Feeding the goats - he wanted every animal to eat from his hand!

Farmer Bryan
Picking peaches in the Kid's Farm
This was his second favorite thing... Right after telling people about the
zebras, he would say, "and eat corn dog!"
You haven't been to the fair until you've had a Fletcher's Corny Dog!

The weekend before Halloween, we loaded up the van and headed to a pumpkin patch up in Richardson to meet up with Pops, Elmo, and the rest of the cousins, aunts, and uncles.  The kids all humored the adults (well most of the kids anyway - Savannah!!), put on their costumes, and posed for some pictures.  After that, they got to run around in the fields, climb hay bails, and ride the train.  It was a great afternoon.

No luck, so we decided to be silly!

Climbing Hay Bales

On Halloween, I got home and Bryan couldn't wait to get in his zookeeper costume.  I asked if he would put on his skeleton pajamas so I could get a quick picture of all the kids.  He surprisingly agreed.  This is the outcome....

My Little Ghouls
Then it was time to suit up and Trick or Treat.  He refused to take off the skeleton!!  So he, for the 3rd time, was a skeleton on Halloween!

Ready to go

His first attempt... He practiced saying Trick or Treat all the way
up to the door, then it opened, and he froze!  Poor baby, as soon as the
door closed - "Trick or Treat!!"

When we got home, I turned on The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, told Bryan he could pick one thing from his bucket, he picked a straw (literally a drinking straw with a pumpkin on it) - That's my boy!!

Also on Halloween, the babies finally got their first taste of cereal...

As predicted, this is going to be split into 2 posts!!  I'm tired and going to bed.... November to come soon - HOPEFULLY!!!
