So I am breaking form and writing about myself instead of the kids. This Friday brings me to the end of an 11 year chapter in my life. I will be leaving Shands and heading to Forney ISD. It has been a very bittersweet time packing up my classroom and reliving so many memories. I have changed so much, both professionally and personally, during my time at Shands.
I started teaching at Shands when I was 23 years old. I was single and one year out of college. I taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, BAC, and Resource. I dated, had heartbreak, dated some more, married Trey, had miscarriages, bought 2 new houses and had 4 children. It is now 10 years later and time to say goodbye.
I am excited about starting a new chapter, making new friends, and making new memories. I am going to be closer to my kids, and eventually, will have them at school with me. I can't wait to see what the future holds!
